This scene shows the main hall and cookhouse looking approximately Southwest. Foreground
and background details are omitted for clarity.
The stairway between floors also appears on the opposite side of the building.
A photo taken about in 1910 in which the roof of the Chee Kung Tong building appears in the background shows that the side gables were decorated. Decorations also appear on the ridges of the entrance and rear dormers. Unfortunately the
shapes of the decorations cannot be determined with certainty from the photo.
