SeaFlite Video Clip

This video clip shows SeaFlite Kamehameha docked, moving away from pier, in "flight" with hull raised and what happens when lift is suddenly lost. The scenes are from episode 1, season 8, of the CBS television series Hawaii Five-0. The scenes were probably shot in late May or early June 1975 during the testing and training period prior to the start of regular service. The episode first aired in mid September 1975.

Hawaii Five-0 is a television police crime drama series which ran for 12 seasons beginning in the fall of 1968 and ending in the spring of 1979. The series was resurrected in the fall of 2010 and is still running.

Five-0 is a an elite crime fighting unit that reports directly to the Governor of Hawaii. It is headed by Detective Steve McGarret. The SeaFlite ferry plays the part of the private vessel of villain Wo Fat.
